Ending of all desires can be called Sukh (NICE MESSAGE)

Ending of all desires can be called Sukh.As swami bruthari said in Vairagya Shatakam : "who is poor? , person who has big desires is the poorest."

"Chah gayi chinta miti manua beparvah, jinko kachu nahi chahiye,vo shahanpati shah" (He who has no desire of any kind is richer than the richest)

Why do we get sad?
when circumstances/results/outcomes are not according to our wishes/desire ,we get sad.As Bhagwan said in Gita - Building of obstruction in the way of desire, produces anger.

What should we do to get rid of sadness.
Stop desiring.

If we stop desiring how can we perform Karam?
I do not say take the path of doing nothing.
Karam are happening even when we are observed as not doing anything.
When we are sitting down,it does not mean that digestion is not happening.Even sitting down is a karam in itself. The foolishness on one to that he is the doer of a karam binds him in shackels.Plan,Do, everything properly and perform which is required/endoresed by scriptures/performed before by great men,Just take "I am doing/will do/have done" OUT.This is true in itself.I ask you are we reaaly in control anyway? If we are in control then why do we get sad/sick/loss of family/old/loss of property/death?
The fact is that we are not in control of what happens, foolishness gets us stuck and takes us to the chakra of life and death.

AS Swamiji told  one story,as  follows:
There was this Raja going with his army through a forest,he sees a Sanyasi sitting in the shadows of a tree.Raja asked Sanyasi "why didnt you salute me" to which Sanyasi answered "I donot salute my subordinate"
Raja asks in which way he is subordinate to him as he is the Raja and is in charge of his kingdom and everything that his kingdom covers and sanyasi doesnt even have proper clothes to wear.
Sanyasi - "everything you say?"
Raja - "yes"
Sanyasi -"if you are in charge of everything in your kingdom then banish all the flies from your kingdom"
Raja - "I have no power to do that and how am I your subordinate?"
sanyasi - "because I am not in control of anything,I have no desire and that makes you my subordinate."
The essence of this story is one who doesnt want anything/have no desire is actually greater than everyone.

Want to be Sukhi = stop desiring !!!!

Sri Krishna is the original source of all Avatars !!!

Numerous authoritative scriptural references establish Sri Krishna as the Absolute Truth, yet it should be understood that He is not simply another incarnation of God. He is the *purna punyavataram* (100% complete manifestation of *Paramaatma*).
This is verified in the Bhagavatam verse (1.3.28) where it explains : `Ete chamsha-kalah pumsaha / krishnas tu bhagavan svayam / indrari-vyakulam lokam / mridayanti yuge yuge, which means, "All of the (previously mentioned) incarnations are either plenary portions or portions of plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord Sri Krishna is the original Personality of Godhead. All of them appear on planets whenever there is a disturbance created by the atheists. The Lord incarnates to protect the Bhaktas ."
So herein we can understand that Sri Krishna either descends directly, or it is one of His plenary portions who appears in order to perform the necessary activities. This is further explained in the following verses, which shows that even Maha-Vishnu, the Creator of the cosmic manifestation, and Garbhodakashayi Vishnu, the expansion in each universe, are plenary portions of Lord Krishna. "The Supreme original Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, expanding His plenary portion as Maha-Vishnu, the first incarnation, creates this manifold cosmos, but He is unborn. The creation, however, takes place in Him, and the material substance and manifestations are all Himself. He maintains them for some time and absorbs them into Himself again. (Bhag.2.6.39)
"The Personality of Godhead is pure, being free from all contaminations of material tinges. He is the Absolute Truth and the embodiment of full and perfect knowledge. He is all-pervading, without beginning or end, and without rival. O Narada, O great sage, the great thinkers can know Him when completely freed from all material hankerings and when sheltered under undisturbed conditions of the senses. Otherwise, by untenable arguments, all is distorted, and the Lord disappears from our sight. (Bhag. 2.6.40-41)
"Karanarnavashayi Vishnu [Maha-Vishnu] is the first incarnation of the Supreme Lord, and He is the master of eternal time, space, cause and effects, mind, the elements, the material ego, the modes of nature, the senses, the universal form of the Lord, Garbhodakashayi Vishnu, and the sum total of all living beings, both moving and nonmoving. (Bhag. 2.6.42)
"I myself [Brahma], Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, great generators of living beings like Daksha and Prajapati, yourselves [Narada and the Kumaras], heavenly Devas like Indra and Chandra, the leaders of the Bhurloka planets, the leaders of the earthly planets, the leaders of the lower planets, the leaders of the Gandharva [angel-like beings] planets, the leaders of the Vidyadhara planets, the leaders of the Charanaloka planets, the leaders of the Yakshas, Rakshas and Uragas, the great Sages, the great demons, the great atheists and the great spacemen, as well as the dead bodies, evil spirits, jinn, kushmandas, great aquatics, great beasts and great birds, etc.--in other words, anything and everything which is exceptionally possessed of power, opulence, mental and perceptual dexterity, strength, forgiveness, beauty, modesty, and breeding, whether in form or formless--may appear to be the specific truth and the form of the Lord, but actually they are not so. They are only a fragment of the transcendental potency of the Lord." (Bhag.2.6.43- 45)
In Brahma's prayers to Lord Krishna, in a later portion of the Bhagavatam, He continues to explain, "Are You not the original Narayana, O supreme controller, since You are the Soul of every embodied being and the eternal witness of all created realms? Indeed, Lord Narayana [Maha-Vishnu] is your expansion, and He is called Narayana because He is the generating source of the primeval water of the universe. He is real, not a product of Your illusory Maya." (Bhag.10.14. 14)
Once when Lord Krishna was beginning to prepare for leaving this world to return to His abode, all the Devas, Sages, and celestial and subtle beings approached Him when He lived in Dvaraka. Then they offered prayers to the Lord which further reveals Lord Krishna's supremacy over all other incarnations and Devas. It is explained:
"The powerful Lord Indra, along with the Maruts, Adityas, Vasus, Ashvinis, Ribhus, Angiras, Rudras, Vishvadevas, Sadhyas, Gandharvas, Apsaras, Nagas, Siddhas, Charanas, Guhyakas, the great Sages and forefathers, and the Vidyadharas and Kinnaras, arrived at the city of Dvaraka , hoping to see Lord Krishna. By His transcendental form, Krishna , the Supreme Lord, enchanted all human beings and spread His own fame throughout the worlds. The Lord's glories destroy all contamination within the universe." (Bhag.11.6.2- 4)
Many Hindus show great respect to these Vedic Devas, but such Devas can also come under the influence of Lord Krishna's illusory energy. In this next verse, we see how Lord Krishna takes it upon Himself to relieve Lord Indra of his pride and ignorance. Lord Indra is the king of heaven who is known for his own mystical or magical abilities, which tend to be a source of pride for him, which encourages him to do inappropriate things. In one such incident, Lord Krishna explained, "By My mystic power I will completely counteract this disturbance caused by Indra. Devas like Indra are proud of their opulence, and out of foolishness they falsely consider themselves the Lord of the universe. I will now destroy such ignorance." (Bhag.10.25. 16)
In summarizing the contents of the Srimad-Bhagavatam as Suta Gosvami begins to close his talk near the end of this Purana, he states: "I bow down to that unborn and infinite Supreme Soul, whose personal energies effect the creation, maintenance and destruction of the material universe. Even Brahma, Indra, Shankara [Shiva] and the other Lords of the heavenly planets cannot fathom the glories of that infallible Personality of Godhead." (Bhag.12.12. 67)
Thus from different angles of thought, it is established that Lord Krishna is the Supreme Being and source of all other incarnations of God and Devas.
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya!! !

Yes ! All actions happen in the regime of Prakruti (Apara Prakruti)

Yes ! All actions happen in the regime of Prakruti (Apara Prakruti) ! In Purusha there is not any action. But when any sin or virtue takes places, Self (Jeevatma/ Purusha/ Para Prakruti) experiences the results thereof. Yes ! It is the car which runs. The Driver does not run. But when any accident takes place, car is not punished, the Driver is punished.Kalpanaji ! 5 causes referred by you are in BG 18:14 not in 18:15 to 17. One of the 'cause' is 'Karta' (Doer) ! Jeeva becomes that 'karta' by 'acceptance' and hence suffers punishment. When 'Karta' viz Jeeva renounces the wrong 'acceptance' and admits 'I am not Karta'- he ceases to be 'Karta' and ceases to be sinful (18:17). It is all "accepted doership" not "actual doership" !! Actually there no doership in Jeeva. "Actual doership' is only in Prakruti (BG 13:20) !! "Punishable/ rewardable/ relevant doership" is "assumed doership" not "actual doership" !! Gita saying that Pure soul is not Karta is right. Jeeva is not Karta but 'accepts' to be Karta and thus artificially becomes a Karta. Without an "assumed" Karta an "activity" can place, but not "Karma". Hence there is no inconsistency in Gitaji. Sadhak Ramakrishna is right. Gitaji is right. Sadhak Basudeb Sen is also very right in his message. In fact Purusha ( Para Prakruti) who is part of God, forms affinity with Apara Prakruti (inert) ! Not only that, he in affinity with inert also 'creates' an independent entity of him'self' as "Prakrutishtha Purusha" ( BG 13:21- Jeeva ) ... Which creation is called 'Aham' ( ego as stated by Basudebji Sen ) ! In this 'Aham' (Jeeva) , both sentient and inert are there. The modification (vikaar) of happiness/sorrow takes place in inert portion only , but the "effect/result" of the same is on 'knower' sentient portion !!! In other words, sentient (chetan) 'assumes/accepts' that sorrow/happiness modification as taking place in him'self' !! Just as while fever comes in body, we say " I am
feverish" ! In fact when you realise that "I am not doer" then you are neither karta nor bhokta. ( BG 13:31) ! Thereafter , whatever "activities" take place in the body of Doershipless/ Suffershipless ( Kirtitva/bhktritva rahit) Jeeva are caused by "Aham vritti" (ego) ! The activities done by this "aham" is stated in Gita by various ways. Say in 13:29 by Prakruti; in 3:27 by Gunas of Prakruti; in 3:28 by Gunas interplay with Gunas; in 14:29 by Gunas and in 5:9 by stating senses are consuming in senses. Meaning thereby that whatever activities take
place by internal "karanas" and external "karanas" , are all by Prakruti.
Jai Shree Krishna

Sri Krishna is the Source of all Creation

In Srimad Bhagavad-gita (10.8) Sri Krishna explains that He is the source of all spiritual and material worlds. "Everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this perfectly engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts."
Bhagavan Krishna further relates that all other sages and creators also originate from Him: "The seven great sages and before them the four other great sages and the Manus [progenitors of mankind] are born out of My mind, and all creatures in these planets descend from them." (Bg.10.6)
Jambavan also says to Bhagavan Krishna, "You are the ultimate creator of all creators of the universe, and of everything created You are the underlying substance. You are the subduer of all subduers, the Supreme Bhagavan and Supreme Soul of all souls." (Bhag.10.56. 27)
When the Devas approached Bhagavan Krishna to return to His eternal abode and wind up His earthly pastimes, they also recognized that He was the supreme God in their prayers : "You are the cause of the creation, maintenance and destruction of this universe. As time, You regulate the subtle and manifest states of material nature and control every living being. As the threefold wheel of time You diminish all things by Your imperceptible actions, and thus You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead... O Bhagavan, You are the supreme creator of this universe and the ultimate controller of all moving and nonmoving living entities. You are Hrishikesha, the supreme controller of all sensory activity, and thus You never become contaminated or entangled in the course of Your supervision of the infinite sensory activities within the material creation. On the other hand, other living entities, even yogis and philosophers, are disturbed and frightened simply by remembering the material objects that they have supposedly renounced in their pursuit of enlightenment. " (Bhag.11.6.15, 17)
Because Sri Krishna is the source of everything, it is not possible for others to determine His origin. "Neither the hosts of Devas nor the great Sages know My origin, for, in every respect, I am the source of the Devas and Sages." (Bg.10.2)
Arjuna also admits to this fact after having understood Krishna 's real characteristics: "O Krishna, I totally accept as truth all that You have told me. Neither the gods nor demons, O Bhagavan, know Thy personality. Indeed, You alone know Yourself by Your own potencies, O origin of all, Bhagavan of all beings, God of Gods, O Supreme Person, Bhagavan of the universe! (Bg.10.14-15) O great one, who stands above even Brahma, You are the original master. Why should they not offer their homage up to You, O limitless one? O refuge of the universe, You are the invincible source, the cause of all causes, transcendental to this material manifestation. (Bg.11.37) You are air, fire, water, and You are the moon! You are the supreme controller and the grandfather. Thus I offer my respectful obeisances unto You a thousand times, and again and yet again! Obeisances from the front, from behind and from all sides! O unbounded power, You are the master of limitless light! You are all-pervading, and thus You are everything! (Bg.11.39-40) You are the father of this complete cosmic manifestation, the worshipable chief, the spiritual master. No one is equal to You, nor can anyone be one with You. Within the three worlds, You are immeasurable. " (Bg.11.43)
Even the immeasurable spiritual entity called the Brahman is actually a tool that Krishna uses in which to create the cosmic manifestation. As Bhagavan explains, "The total material substance, called Brahman, is the source of birth, and it is that Brahman that I impregnate, making possible the births of all living beings, O son of Bharata [Arjuna]. It should be understood that all species of life, O son of Kunti, are made possible by birth in this material nature, and that I am the seed-giving father. (Bg.14.3-4) Of all that is material and all that is spiritual in this world, know for certain that I am both its origin and dissolution. (Bg.7.6) I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being--moving or unmoving--that can exist without Me. (Bg.10.39) Know that I am the original seed of all existences, the intelligence of the intelligent, and the prowess of all powerful men." (Bg.7.10)
In this way, Bhagavan Krishna creates the material manifestation, and later absorbs it back into Himself. Then at His will, He again creates. "At the end of the millennium every material manifestation enters into My nature, and at the beginning of another millennium, by My potency I again create." (Bg.9.7)
"My dear Bhagavan, the original purusha-avatara, Maha-Vishnu, acquires His creative potency from You. Thus with infallible energy He impregnates material nature, producing the mahat-tattva. Then the mahat-tattva, the amalgamated material energy, endowed with the potency of the Bhagavan, produces from itself the primeval golden egg of the universe, which is covered by various layers of material elements." (Bhag.11.6.16)
Because Bhagavan Krishna is the source of everything, there is obviously nothing that He personally needs from it, nor is He ever entangled in it. He is like the warden of a prison who can go in or out of it at any time he wants. Yet He is still overseeing it. "O son of Pritha, there is no work prescribed for Me within all the three planetary systems. Nor am I in want of anything, nor have I need to obtain anything--and yet I am engaged in work. (Bg.3.22) There is no work that affects Me; nor do I aspire for the fruits of action. One who understands this truth about Me also does not become entangled in the fruitive reactions of work." (Bg.4.14)
Akrura also admitted to Bhagavan Krishna that, "You create, destroy and also maintain this universe with Your personal energies--the modes of passion, ignorance and goodness--yet You are never entangled by these modes or the activities they generate. Since You are the original source of all knowledge, what could ever cause You to be bound by illusion?" (Bhag.10.48. 21)
The summary process of how Bhagavan Krishna manifests and gives facility to the universe and the living entities within it is described in Vasudeva's prayer to Bhagavan Krishna: "O transcendental Bhagavan, from Yourself You created this entire variegated universe, and then You entered within it in Your personal form as the Supersoul. In this way, O unborn supreme Soul, as the life force and consciousness of everyone, You maintain the creation. Whatever potencies the life air and other elements of universal creation exhibit are actually all personal energies of the Supreme Bhagavan, for both life and matter are subordinate to Him and dependent on Him, and also different from one another. Thus, everything active in the material world is set into motion by the Supreme Bhagavan. The glow of the moon, the brilliance of fire, the radiance of the sun, the twinkling of the stars, the flash of lightning, the permanence of mountains and the aroma and sustaining power of the earth--all these are actually You. My Bhagavan, You are water, and also its taste and its capacities to quench thirst and sustain life. You exhibit Your potencies through the manifestations of the air as bodily warmth, vitality, mental power, physical strength, endeavor and movement. You are the directions and their accommodating capacity, the all-pervading ether and the elemental sound residing within it. You are the primeval, unmanifested form of sound; the first syllable, om: and audible speech, by which sound, as words, acquires particular references. You are the power of the senses to reveal their objects, the senses' presiding demigods, and the sanction these Devas give for sensory activity. You are the capacity of the intelligence for decision-making, and the living being's ability to remember things accurately. You are false ego in the mode of ignorance, which is the source of physical elements; false ego in the mode of passion, which is the source of the bodily senses; false ego in the mode of goodness, which is the source of the Devas; and the unmanifest, total material energy, which underlies everything. You are the indestructible entity among all the destructible things of this world, like the underlying substance that is seen to remain unchanged while the things made from it undergo transformation. " (Bhag.10.85. 5-12)
"Thus these created entities, transformations of material nature, do not exist except when material nature manifests them within You, at which time You also manifest within them. But aside from such periods of creation, You stand alone as the transcendental reality." (Bhag.10.85. 14)
Being the source of everything, Bhagavan Krishna explains how He is also the source of genuine religion. "The Supreme Personality of Godhead said : `O Brahmana, I am the speaker of religion, its performer and sanctifier. I observe religious principles to teach them to the world, My child, so do not be disturbed." (Bhag.10.69. 40)
Bhagavan Krishna goes on to say that the understanding of how He is the origination of everything is the knowledge which can free a person from sins: "He who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginningless, as the Supreme Bhagavan of all the worlds--he, undeluded among men, is freed from all sins." (Bg.10.3) This is the special nature of this spiritual knowledge.
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya !!!

All right. I shall not do this, which will produce reaction.

visaya vinivartante
niraharasya dehinah
rasa-varjam raso 'py asya
param drstva nivartate
[Bg. 9.59]

Now negation. Negation. "All right. I shall not do this, which will produce reaction." That, I mean to say, forceful negation will not stand. "I shall not do this." Or, for example, take the small incident of our life, eating. Now, because eating has reaction, because whatever I am eating I have to repay for that... Either you eat vegetable or flesh, that doesn't matter. "Then let me... I shall not eat." Oh, that cannot be. How you cannot eat? You cannot do it. If you have to live, then you have to eat. So here the Lord says, visaya vinivartante niraharasya dehinah. Just like a person is diseased. He is advised by the doctor that "You shall not take such and such things." So he is starving or he is fasting. Suppose in the typhoid fever the doctor has advised him not to take any solid food. So under the instruction of the doctor, he is not taking any solid food. But suppose his brother is eating some bread. Oh, he likes that "If I could eat." But that means within himself... He is, by force, by the instruction of the physician, he is forced not to eat. But within himself he has got the tendency for eating. But out of fear that "If I eat, there will be very bad reaction of taking solid food," therefore, by force, he is not eating. Similarly, there are so many things which you are refrain from doing by force. No. That sort of abstinence will not make you progressive in spiritual life, by force. No. By force I cannot... Because you are independent. . Every individual being has got his little portion of independence. So anything cannot be done by forcing you. No. Even you cannot force even a child.. He has got his independence. He'll revolt if you force him. So here it is said that visaya vinivartante. One may be refraining from enjoying materially by somehow or other, by force... Niraharasya dehinah, rasa-varjam raso 'py asya param drstva nivartate. But one who is spiritually advanced, he is not forced. He is voluntarily giving up. That is the difference. Voluntarily giving up. How? Why voluntarily giving up? Now, param drstva nivartate. He has found something sublime, so sublime that he doesn't care for material enjoyment. He is not forced. He voluntarily gives up. That is the criterion of spiritual life. There is no force. Just like there is a nice verse given by Yamunacarya. Yamunacarya, he was a great emperor, but later on, he became a great devotee of the Lord under the disciplic succession. Now, he has got very nice verses written by him. One of the verses is stated like this:

Attain Salvation by Accepting that All is God.

Gist: The main principle of the Gita is "Everything is God." There is nothing else besides God. Whatever our mind and intellect comprehends, it is all God. Thus there is nothing left to know. We must accept this fact with determination. It is only a matter of changing our view, our outlook. Believing in this view is best.

Attain Salvation by Accepting that All is God.

"In the very last of all births the enlightened soul worships Me, realising that all this God ..." Gita 7:19. The main principle of the Gita is "Vasudev Sarvam." "Everything is God."

God also says - "Now listen how with the mind attached to Me (through exclusive love) and practising Yoga with absolute dependence on Me, you will know Me in entirety and without any shadow of doubt." (Gita 7:1)

The Jnana Yogi sees God in him, The Karma Yogi sees God next to him while the Bhakti Yogi sees only God.

There is nothing else besides God. He is the one who looks after, He is the one who is looked after, He is the truth and the untruth, He perishes and He prevails. There is not the tiniest place as much as a pin which is without Him. There is no I, you, this or that. I is God, You is God, this is God and that is God. Whatever your mind and intellect comprehends, it is all God. Thus there is nothing left to know.

We must accept this fact with determination. We don't have to do anything new or get anything new. All that we need to do is change the way we look at things. We have to change our view. Believing in this view is the best.

We don't know our parents as we do not remember our birth. We simply accept them as we have been told. So we must believe and accept that God is our father. We are very much a part of Him.

The Gita and the Ramayan are two beautiful scriptures given to us. We can keep reading, understanding and hearing the Gita - it is endless and most importantly they are the spoken words of God.

Desire the Root of all Evil - Gita 2:62

Gist: Dwelling on a thing, leads to attachment, which leads to desire, which further leads to anger and then delusion, confusion, loss of reason and finally complete ruins. Whatever makes you angry, deep within you will find that there is a desire, an attachment, associated with it.

Desire the Root of all Evil - Gita 2:62

When a spiritual aspirant devotes himself heart and soul to God, his senses are controlled and his relish (taste) for sense enjoyments disappears. But what about those who do not devote themselves to God ? The answer is provided, in the next two verses.

dhyayato visayanpumsah sangastesupajayate
sangatsanjayate kamah kamatkrodho' bhijayate (Gita 2:62)
krodhadbhavati sammohah sammohatsmrtivibhra mah
smrtibhramsad buddhinaso buddhinasatpranasya ti (Gita 2:63)

Contemplating constantly on the objects of senses, a man develops attachment for them; from attachment springs desire and from desire (unfulfilled) originates anger. From anger arises delusion, from delusion; confusion of memory; from which grows loss of reason; and with loss of reason, (discrimination) , he goes to complete ruin. (Gita 2:62-63)

Comments:

Dhyayato visayanpurivsah sarigastesupajayate ' — When a man does not devote himself to God i.e. he does not meditate on God, he instead broods on objects of senses, because on one side there is God and another side there is the World. When he leaves the dependency on God, then is becomes dependent on the World and begins to contemplate and brood over worldly things. This is because besides the World there is nothing else for him to contemplate on. Thus, by in due time by brooding over worldly objects, he develops desire, attachment and fondness for them. Due to this fondness, he begins to contemplate and think about these sense-objects over and over again. Whether he actually (physically) partakes in the enjoyment or not, usually the pleasure resulting from enjoyment (even mentally), further enhances his passion and desire for it.

'Sangatsamjayate kamah'— By developing desire and passion for sense enjoyments, one has a desire to acquire and enjoy those sense-objects.

'Kamatkrodho' bhijayate' '— Gratification of desire leads to greed and desire for more, and the one who creates an obstacle in the possibility of it's gratification, becomes a victim of anger. Desire, lust are such that when an obstical arises, inevitably anger will arise. The pride that one has of their good qualities, resulting from caste, stage of life, virtues, abilities etc., in this pride too, there is desire for respect and honor. If someone becomes an obstacles in the gratification of these desires, then too one becomes angry. .

Desire is a passionate (rajasika) trait; delusion is born of ignorance or mode of darkness (tamasik). And anger lies somewhere in between the two.

If at anytime you are angry about something, it means that at it's root deep seated within you inevitably have an attachment for that thing. For example, if you get angry with a person who does unjust and unrighteous things, that means you are attached to moral and ethical conduct. If you are angry with a man who defames you, it means that you are attached to fame and respect. If you are enraged with a person who censures you, it proves you are attached to praise. If you are angry with a person that finds faults in you, that means you are attached to the pride you have of your flawlessness etc.
